I am a Provisional Clinical Social Worker Licensee who specializes in trauma and healing. I graduated from The University of Florida with my Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences as well as a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. Since then, I have been providing therapeutic services to children, teens, and families who have experienced various forms of abuse and/or traumatic stress. Prior to becoming a therapist, I gained knowledge in infant/toddler developmental health as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist and a Child Development Teacher. I have years of experience working with adolescents, which has helped shape my therapeutic approach. My intention is to empower clients toward holistic wellness by strengthening interpersonal and intrapersonal connections, navigating transitions, healing trauma, and building coping skills. I believe that everyone should be able to ask for help without feeling ashamed or embarrassed, and I aim to ensure my clients know that seeking assistance is a strength, not a weakness. In my free time, I love traveling and exploring new places, playing with my super cute Yorkipoo, trying new restaurants, and watching scary movies. In session, clients can expect an emotionally safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. I will provide an authentic, nurturing, relatable, and warm approach to encourage clients to explore their thoughts and feelings while learning the skills necessary to navigate life’s challenges. I use laughter and humor in session to disarm clients and destigmatize any negative beliefs they may have about therapy. My goal for every session is for my clients to leave feeling heard, empowered, and able. I utilize flexible and compassionate Person-Centered, Solution-Focused and Strengths-based approaches to motivate clients towards healing. Healing is not linear, and the process can be uncomfortable and difficult, which is why I aim to help ease the overwhelming fear that life changes can bring. I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing. I specialize in complex trauma, depression, anxiety, parent-child relationships, relationship with peers, personal growth, and grief/loss.
