Hi there :) I'm Mary (she/her) and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Diego, CA. I have a passion for connecting with others and co-creating a safe space to support others through their healing journey. My professional experience has involved working with families to support them through their child or adolescent’s developmental journey - to help them navigate unexpected changes and to support them in accessing community resources. Over the last year I have gained additional experience with individual and group therapy, and mental health crisis management. Outside of therapeutic work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, reading at the beach, traveling, going to live music events, and practicing Yoga. I also prioritize having unscheduled time throughout my week that allows me to lean into rest and creativity. My experience comes from various schools of thought, through a multicultural lens that includes a mind-body framework that emphasizes the deep connection between mental and physical health. I explore situations in the here and now in order to provide a listening ear to understand your needs. My work aims to understand the underlying concerns that are causing stressful situations. Through active listening, an empathetic approach, and from a non-judgmental standpoint, my hope is that we can work together to help create trust within the therapeutic relationship.
