Hello! I’m Margarita, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I am here to support individuals and families as they navigate difficult times. Having grown up in a Hispanic family that experienced divorce, I can relate to the challenges of discussing emotions and addressing what many consider “difficult” topics. I know firsthand how hard it can be to express feelings, which motivates me to help others find their voices. On a personal note, I’m a huge foodie and enjoy laughing and crying to romcoms. My favorite Disney movie is *Inside Out 2* because it beautifully captures the complexity of emotions in our everyday lives. As a clinician, I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals, couples, and families, each bringing unique experiences and challenges. Over the past few years, I have been working at a suicide prevention center, where I have gained invaluable experience in providing support to individuals in emotional and suicidal crises. This role has deepened my understanding of the importance of empathy and active listening in fostering a safe and supportive environment. I have learned that each person's story is unique, and by genuinely listening to their experiences and feelings, I can help them feel heard and validated. This approach builds trust and opens the door to meaningful dialogue and connection, which are essential in guiding individuals toward hope and healing. Through this work, I have developed a profound appreciation for the human experience and the resilience of compassionate support.
