My name is Kayla and I am from Kannapoli, NC. I love hiking, trailing and community involvement. I grew up with my great grandmother who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Because of medication and support, she was able to live a normal life until she passed at the age of 81. I dedicated my undergraduate years to serving the Asheville and Mars Hill communities. I decided to purse social work in lieu of my compassion for people and serve underprivilege communities.
