My name is Josiah Woods. I’m originally from Pittsburgh PA but have lived in Texas since 2006. I have my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University - Commerce in August 2023 and it won’t be too long before I am fully licensed. I have experience working in IOP/PHP, Private Practice, and Community Mental Health settings with both kids and adults ages 8-65. I mostly use psychodynamic, client-centered approaches, CBT, Trauma-focused CBT, and hypnotherapy. I also love incorporating mindfulness in sessions when I can. I love watching anime, playing and streaming video games, working out at the gym, swimming, doing group Bible studies at church, and hanging out with friends and going on other various kinds of adventures. I also like to read a bit for fun. Specifically, I like to read fantasy. From middle school and throughout all high school I loved acting in theatre. In fact, I look forward to hopefully becoming a voice actor on the side one day. So that’s a little bit about me. I am truly excited to work with you!
