I’m a Bay Area native with many years of experience in education and mental health services. My professional background and experiences, in addition to working as a mental health clinician (Associate Marriage & Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor), range from being a k- elementary school teacher, music teacher, educational consultant, and university department researcher. This also includes a tremendous amount of experience working with clients, students, and colleagues of many multicultural and background demographics. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). And Multicultural Therapeutic Orientation (MCO) as secondary. Although there are many therapeutic approaches in which I use, I believe these are good base approaches in all therapy to establish a therapeutic foundation. Within this scope of practice, I think that explorative methods can be included and used to understand the root difficulties that individuals may experience. I also have experience in the treatment of the following through therapy: PTSD, Anxiety, Military Sexual Assault, Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Self-Image, Domestic Violence, Academic Stress and Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, Military Veterans, ADHD, Teens, Adults, Social Inequity Trauma, Family Trauma, Adolescent Traumatic Stress, Career Stress, Substance Use and Addiction, and Grief and Loss."
