Brian Adderley
University of Central Florida, Master's in Social Work
My name is Brian Adderley (he/him/they), and Iām a dedicated therapist specializing in youth counseling. I have experience working in detention centers and a strong commitment to supporting queer individuals, which has given me a deep understanding of the diverse challenges young people face. In my personal life, I enjoy spending time in nature through activities like kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling. I believe that connecting with the natural world can be a powerful catalyst for healing and self-discovery. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where youth can express themselves freely, feel understood, and find empowerment in their journeys. I can help you embrace kindness toward yourself while navigating feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, and self-doubt. In our sessions, I create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your unique experiences and connect with your full self. My specialty lies in decolonizing mental health practices, and I integrate affirmative approaches, mindfulness, CBT, and other techniques to best support you. If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, hopelessness, or self-doubt, know that you are not alone. These feelings can be heavy, but you deserve support and understanding. I invite you to reach out so we can explore how to work together to embrace your full self, cultivate kindness, and build meaningful connections.
