Hi, I’m Belen, a first-generation Afro-Latina therapist from Nicaraguan parents, originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, now in Illinois. My journey into therapy felt like a calling—rooted in my own healing from generational trauma. I first pursued a science degree to become a juvenile officer but found my purpose in social work. As a holistic therapist, I honor the mind, body, and spirit in healing. Outside work, I find balance through running, dancing, and thrifting. Life’s transitions can be overwhelming, especially for those navigating trauma, identity, or family challenges. As an Afro-Latina therapist, I take a holistic, compassionate approach, helping individuals heal by addressing mind, body, and spirit. I specialize in trauma, family dynamics, and cultural identity, offering a safe space for growth. If this resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
