Rie Takado has over 10 years of experience in field of mental health after earning her Masters of Psychology degree from Argosy University. During the course of her professional career, she has worked with both adults and children of all ages. In the first half of her career, she has worked with adult clients suffering from severe mental health issues and substance abuse. In later half, she has focused on children and adolescents, esp. in school setting. Her approach is client centered and strength based, and she understands the importance of meeting clients at where they are mentally and physically. Before Rie pursued the field of mental health, she worked in the field of advertising and also has a degree in Chemical Engineering from UCSD. She is also a certified therapy dog trainer and a backyard farmer. She grew up in Japan and has her adult education and experience in US. Diverse background along with analytical and compassionate mind gives her an ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds, listen empathically, yet work on client’s mental health in a rationale, goal focused approach.
