I am currently a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), and I practice in Louisiana specifically the New Orleans area. I worked in the mental health field for about 5 years as a mental health specialist/professional. I worked with a wide range of population from children to adults improving their overall health. I am a big advocate for self-care. I mostly love to travel and spend time with family. I really enjoy making people laugh with my humorous personality.Laughing at the humorous aspects of a stressful situation can help you to keep things in perspective and remind yourself that what you experience may not be your end goal. My motive as a Mental Health Professional is to help individuals become the best version of themselves. My objective in counseling is to provide a safe and nonjudgemental space to support individuals in exploring their thoughts, feelings/emotions, and actions/behaviors. In this partnership, we can identify how to achieve self-actualization by setting small goals to address personal challenges. We can use the illustration of how thoughts are connected to feelings and behaviors to identify negative thought patterns and behaviors.
