I am a wife and mother of two children 15 year old boy and 11 year old girl. I am born and raised in Lynwood, California. I have worked with children in different t settings most of my life. I began working as an afterschool program aide, then I worked as a nanny throughout college. I was a youth cheerleading coach for several years. A fun fact about me is I am also an artist. I love to paint when I have the time. I owned an art studio for five years before Covid. During the time of Covid I decided to go back to school and study psychology as it has always been an interest of mine. I began working in substance use which allowed me to see the effects of mental health on family systems. I believe rhat children can often times be overlooked when life gets rough on a family and some carry their stressors in silence. An ideal client is open to therapy and not forced. They have insecurities either due to a broken home or life challenges (sudden or prolonged). I believe the client wants to be the best version of themselves despite what the obstacles look or feel like. I want to help them by guiding them to the tools they already have and introducing new tools to use to help them not only navigate their way through a challenge but to help them create the version of themselves they inspire to be.
