Hi, I鈥檓 Carolyn! I鈥檓 a grounded, authentic person who values showing up as my true self. I know that finding a therapist you truly connect with can be tough, and I understand how important that journey is. My goal is to create a space where you can be fully yourself鈥攏o filters, no pretenses. Whether you need to vent, problem-solve, or explore solutions, I鈥檓 here to support you in navigating life鈥檚 challenges and working toward the goals that matter most to you. I鈥檝e had the privilege of working with diverse groups of people in settings like inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, and substance use treatment centers. I鈥檝e supported individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. I鈥檓 especially dedicated to providing affirming care to neurodiverse individuals and those who identify as disabled, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and respected. A little about me: when I鈥檓 not working, I love creating art in various mediums, with a special connection to my cultural roots through traditional Native beadwork. I also enjoy exploring new places and spending time outdoors鈥攚hether it鈥檚 hiking, camping, or simply enjoying nature. I imagine my ideal client as someone who feels stuck and unsure of how to move forward, especially when navigating the challenges of adolescents. They might be dealing with a "failure to launch," feeling overwhelmed by school, work, or relationships, and unsure how to get back on track. Neurodivergence can make things even harder, impacting focus, organization, and social interactions. What you need is someone who truly understands and respects your unique experiences, cultural background, and individual struggles. I aim to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself without feeling pressured to fit into any mold. Your goals might include managing daily tasks, building stronger relationships, or simply finding more confidence in yourself. You want to feel heard and empowered to take the next step at your own pace. I specialize in working with young people who are facing these challenges, including those who are neurodivergent, struggling with anxiety or depression, or feeling lost. I take an approach that incorporates a person centered perspective and relational cultural theory, ensuring that your cultural identity, values, and lived experiences are honored throughout our work together. I believe in creating a space where individuals from all backgrounds feel validated and supported as they work through their unique struggles. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out. You don鈥檛 have to go through this alone. Together, we can work at your pace to create a path forward that respects who you are, your goals, and what you need.
