Hey there! I'm Allie (she/her), and I'm here to be your guide on the journey towards healing and self-discovery. With a background as an Associate Clinical Social Worker and a 500+ hour certified yoga teacher, I bring a holistic approach to therapy, blending traditional techniques with mindfulness and mind-body practices like yoga or breathwork. My journey into mental health advocacy began when my youngest sister experienced suicidal ideation during high school. Witnessing her pain and my family's struggle to find support highlighted the importance of community and connection in mental health care, which continues to inspire my work today. Through my own trauma recovery, I discovered the power of therapy and yoga, offering me a safe space to process my emotions, develop new techniques to cope with stress and change, and find my voice as an advocate for mental health awareness. Because of this, I was inspired to leave my previous career behind to pursue my passion for therapy Connection is at the heart of my approach. I believe that by opening up conversations about mental health and normalizing reaching out for support, we can break down stigma and inspire hope. Over the last four years, Iāve gained experience with individual and group therapy, peer and family support group facilitation, mental health crisis management, case management, and clinical internships. The majority of my professional work has focused on the experiences of individuals facing stress or trauma responses (past or current), survivors of sexual assault or intimate partner violence, individuals or families navigating the symptoms of depression and anxiety, Outside of therapy, you'll often find me enjoying the simple pleasures of life, whether it's spending time with my dog (and co-therapist), Gus, soaking up the sun at the beach with friends, hiking or practicing yoga. Iām dedicated to creating a judgment-free, warm, and welcoming space where you can truly be yourself and explore whatever is on your mind. Life can throw a lot your way ā from school pressure to family dynamics and the journey of self-discovery - itās overwhelming! But you don't have to face it alone. If you're feeling down, stressed out or overwhelmed, or carrying burdens from the past, I'm here to help you find your way through. I've been where you are. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults in managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and ADHD. Additionally, I can assist you in navigating grief, life transitions, enhancing self-esteem, navigating relational difficulties, coping with stress, and finding ways to regulate your emotions.
