I am so lucky to work in something that does not feel like work. Before working as a therapist I was a Spanish dual-immersion teacher. My life has always found me working with children and that has been my happy place. When I am not seeing students I love to try new places to eat. I enjoy trying new restaurants..trying out different foods from different countries. I also love listening to live music and traveling. I think that my work with children has grown my sense of play and adventure-that is why I like to try new things. My client struggles with anxiety and feeling like he or she is not understood. They worry a lot about what could happen, might happen, or should not have happened. They want to worry less and feel better. By providing a safe space where they can be heard, and teaching them relaxation techniques (breathing, meditation,etc...), normalizing their feelings, and looking at their story (their thoughts about themselves and their world), clients grow skills that will help them now and later in life.
